Habitat Providence builds every Saturday from 8:30am-3:30pm. If you would like to join us, please click on Volunteer Up to schedule a work day. You can schedule a group of 5 or more by calling the office. To schedule a group, please call at least 4 weeks in advance. To sign up with your group or sign up individually, please click the link below. Volunteer Up with help you sign up for a day and provide more information.
In special situations, we can also set up a build day for your company or organization during the week.
No, you don’t need to bring tools. No, you don’t need any construction experience (although skilled volunteers are always welcome). All you need are a good attitude, some sturdy shoes, and a bag lunch. We do appreciate that you come for the day, arrive at 8:30 and stay till 3:30.
COMMUNITY SERVICE: Anyone with COURT ORDERED community service must call the office before signing up for a build day. DETAILS FOR GROUPS OF 5 OR MORE: Call the office to register your group and date. Click on the Volunteer Up link below. Register as a New Volunteer. Plug in all necessary contact information. Scroll through the list of group names and click the box next to your group. Click Register. Look through the Calender of possible locations (is on top of page) and dates (is on left side of page). Once you have found your scheduled date and location (it will say your group name on that block), click on it. Click on the box next to where it says your group name under where it says "Select Shift" and click "Sign Up" at the top of the page. You are then all signed up and will receive a notice a few days in an email reminding you of your volunteer day. Thank you for volunteering! DETAILS FOR INDIVIDUALS:

Site Supervisors: A construction supervisor is responsible for all activities on the site: opening and closing of the site; preparing the site for work; all technical aspects of the construction; instructing the unskilled volunteers and supervising their activities; safety issues; ensuring the availability of all needed material, supplies and tools (in coordination with the construction coordinator). or (401) 699-7890 Wednesday Crew: Habitat is seeking regular volunteers; volunteers who can make a regularly scheduled commitment to work on-site on Wednesdays from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM (weekly or monthly). Wednesday Crew members are also given the opportunity to specialize in some of the more detailed tasks on-site and receive special instruction in good building procedures. This is a great opportunity to volunteer with like minded people for a great cause.
